Undisturbed Burrator is surrounded by mixed woodland which sharply contrasts with the open moor and rugged Dartmoor tors.
The reservoir is popular with walkers and cyclists due to its wealth of footpaths and low cost bank fishing for both Rainbow and Brown Trout is also available at this scenic water.
The Burrator Discovery Centre is now open explaining the history of the Burrator catchment and reservoir.
