There is a wealth of things to see and do in and around Ilfracombe with a range of activities to suit all tastes and pockets. Many of Ilfracombe’s attractions are within easy walking distance of the town’s car parks including the award-winning Ilfracombe Aquarium, unique Tunnels Beaches, fascinating Ilfracombe Museum, prestigious Landmark Theatre and slightly further afield Hele Cornmill and Chambercombe Manor, one of Britain’s most haunted houses. Ilfracombe also has a working, picturesque harbour, a seafront to promenade along and a high street with many independent shops and places to eat.
There are events and festivals throughout the year many of which are right next to the sea including Ilfracombe Carnival, All Things Morris, Sea Ilfracombe and South West Birdman to name but a few (more details on our website).
There is plenty to do including walking, fishing, cycling, horse riding, clay pigeon shooting, quad biking and more or why not take a boat trip from the harbour where there are a number of different types of vessel offering trips and marine safaris.
Ilfracombe is fast becoming the arts and food centre of North Devon with a number of Galleries, Damien Hirst’s statue Verity and an eclectic range of eateries including pubs, tea rooms, take-aways, café’s, coffee houses and restaurants from family run to fine-dining, many using local produce.
So why not join us this year for a holiday that you won’t forget.
