Northam Burrows Country Park is situated within the North Devon Coast AONB and the UNESCO Biosphere Reserve, at the mouth of the Taw/Torridge Estuary. Backed by the famous pebble ridge Westward Ho!’s award winning Blue Flag beach stretches for over 2 miles, with typically calm waters it is perfect for swimming or learning to surf. Behind the ridge the burrows is an expanse of common land, and a designate SSSI (Site of Special Scientific Interest) rich in plants and wildlife. In the summer information is available at the Burrows Centre and the Ranger service run events throughout the year.
