Handcrafted ales from South Devon. Salcombe beers are available in bottles and on draught and include the award-winning Island Street Porter, Salcombe Pale Ale, Salcombe Gold, Devon Amber, Seahorse, Shingle Bay and Lifesaver. Brewery tours are available on Thursdays' (weekly during the high season and monthly during the rest of the year). Tickets cost £15 pp and include a tour of the Brewhouse, meet with the brewers and samples in the taproom. Brew days are also available for those looking for a more hands-on experience. Both tickets/vouchers can be purchased online or at the Brewery Shop. The Shop also sells the full range of beers and merchandise. Cases of beers are ready to buy or pre-order your Bag in Boxes for beer on tap.
The Brewhouse sits in the middle of the Devon countryside with fantastic views towards the Salcombe Ria. Sustainability is a key aspiration of Salcombe Brewery. It is fortunate that it is positioned over a decomissioned water reservoir which utilises the natural ambient temperature of the underground facility for storing ales, as well as having its own borehole on site. Local surroundings are also key to the ethos of the brewery and the signature seahorse logo for the beers represents the fact that the Salcombe Ria is said to be home to two of the British seahorse. Salcombe Brewery donates 5p of every bottle of Seahorse sold to The Seahorse Trust who strive to look after these beautiful species in our waters.
