About Tapeley Park and Gardens

Tapeley has belonged to the same family since 1702, with the name changing from Clevland to Christie, the family from Glyndebourne in Sussex, when Agnes Clevland married William Christie. Tapeley is now run by Hector, emulating his great Grandmother Lady Rosamund, a close friend of William Morris, with his pro-local, anti corporate stance. There is a history room documenting the Crimean War, Glyndebourne and it's history and Hector and his protests/dreams. Superb Permaculture garden, walled kitchen garden, Tea Rooms using healthy Tapeley produce offering light lunches and cream teas, a Labyrinth and play area.
