“I’d say there is something for everyone on this special garden, with lots of inspiration. Lift your spirits, get ideas or simply relax!

Take a stroll in this stunning garden which is set in a tranquil Devon valley, and gain endless amounts of inspiration. The 10 acres with its 6,000 plant varieties are several gardens in one, including a famous terraced walled garden, acer glade, summer garden, bulb meadow, rhododendron and camellia walks, immaculate lawns and now – a new 2-acre arboretum with lake and ornamental bridges.

The Licensed Tearooms are situated within the 18th century former vicarage. Enjoy delicious lunches, or one of our renowned Devon Cream Teas and a range of sumptuous cakes. All food is homemade, locally sourced and served to at your table.

Select from a wide range of quality plants, most of which are propagated locally. Many of the unusual perennials on offer can be seen flourishing at The Garden House.

There are activities for all the family including a free ‘Find the Animal Trail’. Do not miss August’s amazing Festival of Scarecrows when 50 scarecrows will be taking up residence in the garden’s 10 acres!

Our selection of plants closely matches those that are growing in the garden.  So, if you see something that catches your eye during your visit, then the chances are we will have it for sale in the Plant area.
